A workshop with Dr. Asmae Ourkiya.

In order to understand the intersections of climate justice with social identity factors such as racialized identities, gender, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status, this workshop aims to equip participants with tools for more inclusive advocacy skills, policy-making, and climate activism. This workshop thus aims:

  • To explore historical and systemic factors contributing to climate-related disparities and vulnerabilities.
  • To analyze case studies illustrating the disproportionate impact of climate change on marginalized communities.
  • To evaluate the effectiveness of responses and policies in achieving climate justice and equity.
  • To engage participants in interactive activities that deepen their understanding of intersectionality in climate justice.
