Take Back the Night

Dear FLINTA* person,
How much longer must we walk home at night feeling unsafe?

We say no more! It is our right to move freely and fearlessly through Luxembourg’s public spaces! So gear up and prepare yourself for taking back the night on the 30th of April 2024!

Let’s unite for a demonstration centered on empowerment, resistance, and reclaiming our space. On Walpurgis Night — when witches gather — let’s stand together in solidarity and turn every dark alley into a place of strength. This march is more than just a response to the dangers we face at night — casual sexism, verbal harassment, sexual and gender-based violence. It is also an act of collective resistance, an effort to create safer spaces in the very hours that often feel the most threatening.

We will gather at Kinnekswiss Park at 7 PM, marching through the heart of the city as the sun sets, and ending with a vigil at Casino Luxembourg. There, we will come together to honor and mourn the FLINTA* people harmed or lost to our heteropatriarchal society—while reaffirming our strength and resilience.

This march is open to all FLINTA* people who wish to join.
